How AION 2 Pets Wiki checks and explains its data

A useful pet guide separates a recorded value, a live rule and an editorial recommendation. This page describes how AION 2 Pets Wiki keeps those distinctions visible and what the present research can support.

Source order and regional fit

  1. Official material for the applicable region: release notices, guidebooks, patch notes and stated event conditions.
  2. Dated current-client evidence: an identifiable item or reward panel with region and build context.
  3. Public community databases: useful for entity names, candidate sources and reported stats, with the link and scope retained.
  4. Community guides and player reports: useful for workflows and questions, but not enough to invent a rate or universal ranking.

Region comes before apparent authority. An official Taiwan guide describing pet level 5 does not confirm a level-5 requirement in Global. A community table that labels itself Global may be a better candidate for that specific client, but it remains secondary evidence until corroborated appropriately.

We distinguish a source page's own update date from our review date. Checked October 14, 2026 means the referenced public information was reviewed on that date; it does not mean the publisher played that patch or verified every value in the current game.

How to read an evidence label

Label or displayMeaningPlayer action
Community reference / secondary onlySupported by a public third-party page, without our live-client confirmationCheck costly decisions against the current game panel
Unknown / not verifiedNo sufficient value has been establishedDo not treat it as zero, impossible or guaranteed
Source disagreementPublic records do not describe the same result or handlingUse the named source as a lead; inspect the reward before estimating
Hypothetical exampleInvented numbers used to demonstrate arithmetic or a processReplace them with your own verified inputs

The initial pet records are community references. A website's appearance in search results, popularity or SEO score does not upgrade its game data to an official fact. We do not claim a full inventory of all AION 2 pets.

Missing data and conflicting rewards

Unavailable coordinates, costs and probabilities stay unknown. We do not add random map points, infer an item price from a shop pool or turn one observed drop into a guaranteed rate. The map's five selected Verteron points come from Pet Soul Atlas, whose Global dataset was built October 8, 2026 and reviewed here October 14. The original reference grid plots its X/Z units; it does not reproduce terrain or claim live-client calibration, in-game GPS or metre distances. Source listings distinguish direct Pet rewards from named Souls and random containers.

Black Smoke Murute illustrates the boundary: community sources associate it with Fire Temple, but datasets differ on whether its soul is recorded as a monster drop or a kill reward. The published entry preserves that issue and supplies no promised drop rate. Before scheduling runs, the player should check the current encounter reward.

A source summary may group several difficulty variants. Those variants are useful conditions, not automatically different farming locations. Shared sources can also give different reward types; those rewards must remain distinguishable instead of being merged into one vague claim.

Recommendations and tier decisions

Best and tier pages organize choices by a player's task, access and reported effects. A conditional recommendation explains why a source is worth investigating and what would make that recommendation inappropriate. It is not a controlled test of damage, a measured souls-per-hour result or a promise of the current competitive meta.

We do not assign an unsupported combat score just to fill a tier list. A pet can be useful for collection breadth, travel, a genus goal or a desired appearance without being the best pet for every class. Recommendations should change if the region, source access or supporting mechanics change.

The Pet Soul Planner validates and calculates user-entered numbers. Its output is arithmetic: transition costs minus matching stock, with an optional guaranteed run quantity. It does not infer random drop odds or establish that the inputs are game facts.

Editing, AI assistance and corrections

This owner-maintained project uses AI-assisted research, drafting and development. Sources are reviewed for the claim and regional context; generated wording alone is never evidence. Guides are original explanations of player tasks rather than copied community articles. Site diagrams are original illustrations, not game screenshots.

To report a correction, send the page URL, the exact statement, your region and a supporting official link or readable client evidence through Contact. Remove account secrets and unrelated player details from screenshots. We review the evidence, update the affected statement and its review date when appropriate, or retain an explicit unknown if the conflict remains unresolved.

Significant changes should preserve the distinction between new source evidence and a routine text edit. No daily update promise is made. About identifies the publisher; Privacy describes local saves, analytics choices and contact data.
